Description

At Startise, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Node.js Developer to join our team and contribute to our Shopify projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Node.js development, particularly within the Shopify ecosystem, and will work closely with our development and design teams to create seamless e-commerce experiences.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional experience in Shopify app development or relevant web development roles.
• Proficient in Node.js, Express.js, and React.js.
• Experience working with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs, including Admin API, Storefront API, and Webhooks.
• Experience in handling OAuth authentication and secure data handling.
• Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Solid understanding of Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with Shopify Polaris for app UI development.
• Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of payment gateway integrations or third-party app integrations.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Shopify apps using Node.js, Express.js, and React.js.
• Integrate Shopify APIs (Admin API, Storefront API, and Webhooks) into applications.
• Design and manage databases using MongoDB and PostgreSQL for app data storage.
• Implement secure authentication mechanisms for Shopify apps, such as OAuth.
• Handle webhook processing, background jobs, and data synchronization between Shopify and backend services.
• Optimize application performance and database queries for scalability.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to Shopify API integration and app functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver features.
• Stay updated on Shopify ecosystem updates and integrate new capabilities into apps.
